The 8 March International Women's Day program organized by Bursa Uludağ University Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center (BUKAM) attracted great attention.

WOMEN ARE ONE STEP AHEAD AT BUU
Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. After giving a short speech about the process of obtaining women's rights, Ferudun Yılmaz gave information about the female employee and student rates at BUU. Rector Yılmaz pointed out that half of the students studying at the university are women; “In some of our departments, the number of female students is much higher. In general, there is almost equality. This rate has been at similar levels at our university for years. Our women attach more importance to education. We also observe that there is a serious progress in master's and doctoral programs. Our women are one step ahead in terms of academics and administrative personnel. While our female staff is 54 percent, the number of male staff is at 46 percent. "We would like to thank our BUKAM managers who signed this special program on the occasion of International Women's Day, our guests who participated in our panel as speakers and everyone who followed the program," he said.
IT IS THE DUTY OF EVERY CITIZEN TO PROTECT WOMEN'S RIGHTS
BUKAM Director Prof. Dr. Nimet Haşıl Korkmaz pointed out that the Turkish nation has always given women the place they deserve; “The founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, ensured that women could participate in politics and economy on equal terms with the legal regulations he made before many countries in the world. It is the duty of every citizen to protect these regulations. Like all over the world, we celebrate March 8 as International Women's Day. "I wish our program to be beneficial and thank you for your participation," he said.
Following the opening speeches, a mini piano recital and folk dance show were held. The program, which was followed by a panel titled "Meeting of Successful Example Women from Life", was completed with the presentation of the Women's Search and Rescue Association (ANDA).
