PHYSICS DEPARTMENT
Our department was established in 1983 within Faculty of Arts and Sciences. A four- year undergraduate education is provided in our department. Our main goal is to train students with problem analysis and solving skills, research and development ability, as well as analytical thinking skills. In this purpose, the theoretical and applied courses are carried out with all our department members. There are 11 Professor, 9 Associate Professor, 3 Assistant Professor, and 3 Research Assistant and 1 Physicist in our department. Our academic members continue the research in 5 different brunches such as Atomic and Molecular Physics, General Physics, Solid State Physics, Nuclear Physics and High Energy and Plasma Physics, and they carry out postgraduate education with their equipment and experience in these fields.
MISSION
As a productive department in science and technology that follows the developments, it is our main duty to train individuals who contribute to science and society with the basic philosophy of physics.
VISION
In addition to scientific knowledge and skills, our department aims to train individuals who are honest, have high ethical values, use social shares correctly, have innovative and competitive solutions in national and international platforms, and can convey the information they have acquired.
