Our Students Attended the 9th Student Physics Congress of the Turkish Physical Society (TFD)

Our university's Physics Department students attended the 9th Student Physics Congress organized by the Turkish Physical Society (TFD), one of the most prestigious scientific events in Turkey. At the congress, the most current topics of physics were discussed with academics, researchers and students from different universities.

Our students representing our department at the event had the opportunity to present their own studies and research to the scientific world. Our students Melike Nur DAŞKIN and Betül ELBİR presented their studies titled “Measurement of Surface Resistance with Arduino Uno for RPC Detectors”, Melisa UYSAL and Betül ELBİR presented their studies titled “Investigation of Temperature-Dependent Change of Electrode Resistance in RPC Detectors”, Ceren BADEM presented their studies titled “Importance of Monte Carlo Simulation in Physics and FLUKA” and Yıldız DEMİR presented their studies titled “Changing Grid Potentials in Ion Engines”. In addition, Prof. Dr. The study titled “Effects of Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fields on the Viability of Healthy and Cancerous Cells” was presented by Ecem DEMİR, Yıldız DEMİR, Ece VARDAR and Enes Said TAŞAY under the supervision of Nilgün DEMİR and Prof. Dr. Serap ÇELİKLER.

The active role of our students participating in the scientific activities at the TFD congress contributed to their recognition not only as students but also as young researchers. As the Physics Department, we are very proud of these achievements of our students.

During the congress, our students had the opportunity to closely follow the latest developments in the world of physics and also had the opportunity to meet and communicate with leading scientists in their fields. We believe that these interactions will make significant contributions to the future academic and professional careers of our students.

We congratulate our students participating in the TFD congress and wish them to take part in such scientific activities with more success.
