STAR SUPPORT FOR 19 STUDENTS FROM BUÜ

STAR Trainee Researcher Program application results conducted by TÜBİTAK have been announced. Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) succeeded in taking part with 19 students in the program, which will support 1500 undergraduate students who will take part in 1359 different projects. BUU students will take part in projects to be carried out in 5 different institutions.

TÜBİTAK announced the application results of the STAR Trainee Researcher Program. As a result of the evaluations made, 1,500 undergraduate students were entitled to be supported to take part in 1,359 different projects.

To improve the number of qualified human resources, which is in line with the objective that was announced by the President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan on 10.20.2020, ,applications received. 1.963 TUBITAK projects were included in the STAR Portal within the scope of the call, which attracted great interest from project coordinators and undergraduate students. More than 12,000 students applied to the projects. The student quota, which was previously announced as 1,000 due to the intense interest in the program, has been increased to 1,500 within the scope of intense demand from students and project managers.

THEY HAVE BEEN PRIDE OF BURSA

19 BUU students were accepted to the STAR Trainee Researcher Program, which is one of the projects that TÜBİTAK gives importance to. 15 of the students will be at Bursa Uludağ University, and the other 4 students will be researchers in projects to be carried out at TÜBİTAK-MAM, Bursa Technical University, Gaziantep University and Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. BUU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz congratulated the students and consulting academics who succeeded in taking part in the program and said that they are the pride of Bursa.
