We celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and announcing that our nationality will determine its own future only by itself.

On this meaningful day, when we look at our future with stronger belief, we commemorate all our heroes who won the Independence War and laid down the foundations of our Republic under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

I celebrate the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day of our children, who will ensure that Turkey has more to say in the world and I wish a peaceful and happier future for all of our children.
