Bursa Uludağ University Department of Business Management and Department of Accounting and Tax Practices students organised a technical trip to Susurluk Sugar Factory to improve their professional knowledge and experience. During the trip, the students gained comprehensive information about the production and administrative processes of the factory. This valuable activity contributed to the students' better understanding of the processes they may encounter in the business world by observing their theoretical knowledge in the field.
Prof. Dr. Gülsün İşseveroğlu, Lecturer Dr Fatih Bilici, Lecturer Dr Merve Akça, Lecturer Nilgün Özel and Lecturer Hatice Türk accompanied them. The academicians guided the students and contributed to the most efficient visit in terms of education and training.
Business Manager Mehmet Çalışkan, Machine Electricity Chief Sevin Arı and Chemical Engineer Gizem Tuğçe Adıgüzel, who guided the students in Susurluk Sugar Factory, shared the production and administrative processes of the factory in detail. The students were given comprehensive information about the production stages in the factory, the use of machines, quality control processes and chemical analyses. In addition, students were also informed about the management processes, personnel management and workflows of the factory.
This technical trip significantly contributed to the students' gaining field knowledge about business processes and finding the chance to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. Stating that such trips provide meaningful opportunities that contribute to the professional development of students, academicians expressed their wish that such activities will continue as they allow students to get to know the sector more closely.
