UNIVERSITY'S VISION FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) is preparing to reconsider the studies carried out on vocational and technical education, which forms the basis of University-Industry cooperation. In the first meeting of the working group formed under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. f Ahmet Saim Kılavuz, the basic issues of vocational and technical education at the university were discussed.

Speaking at the program where BUÜ Vocational and Technical Education Vision Working Group Member academicians and BUSİAD Board Member Tuncer Hatunoğlu were present, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kilavuz stated that they entered a new era in University-Industry cooperation. He emphasized that cooperation should be expanded not only in the technical field, but also in social sciences. Underlining that the university-industry cooperation is a cultural change, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz; “We continue to work in line with our goals and projects. We rely on our university, academics and sensitive business representatives of this city. We focused on ourselves first for change and transformation. In order to make a real progress in University-Industry cooperation, we must first make the vocational and technical education subject at our university much more appropriate. We must be able to accurately analyze the demands and expectations of the industrialists and the business world and improve our training in the light of expectations. I believe that the Vocational and Technical Education Vision Working Group, which we have formed with this goal, will first draw a correct road map. Then, we will realize a cultural transformation in time by following and applying this road map exactly ”.
